On April 1, 2 & 3, 2009, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm daily (registration on the first day starts at 7:30 a.m.), we'll produce our seminar to help you pass the NCEES/LSIT Exams (the National "Fundamentals Exam" and "Principles & Practices Exam") in a hotel meeting room at the:

Since you are personally responsible for your sleeping room charges, we have negotiated a sleeping room rate for you (single or double occupancy) of $75.00 per night plus applicable taxes. Be sure to tell the hotel that you are registering for "LSS SEMINARS" to get the negotiated rate. We suggest that you arrange to check in on Tuesday evening, March 31, 2009, so that you'll be rested and ready to start first thing in the morning on Wednesday. If you're going to take either of the National Surveyor Exams, in any state, you need to be at this seminar.

SPECIAL UPDATE: This seminar has been taught many times by Ted Madson and the pass rate for our graduates has been "through the roof!!" Ted will teach this course and the Hewlett Packard HP-35s calculator will be provided to you as part of your seminar package for this seminar. This calculator does not provide for program cards or chips to be used with it nor does it allow for calculator-to-calculator or calculator-to-computer transfers. All programs must be entered manually. Each student registered for this seminar will receive an HP-35s calculator pre-programmed with our proprietary LSS Miracle Software (1,728 lines of code personally programmed by Ted Madson) as part of the registration package on the first day the seminar.
In the event that
the LSS pre-programmed programs on the HP-35s are lost, for any reason, our
charge
to reprogram any HP-35s
with the LSS programs is $250.00 plus shipping and handling charges of
$20.00.
Ted Madson and/or one of his associates will be your instructor and trainer. These exams require special skills. The ability to perform basic surveying math quickly and efficiently. The ability to answer questions quickly and confidently. The ability to quickly read and understand questions stated in words as well as those stated with numbers.
You probably have the ability to score between 60 and 65 points without our seminar; however, it takes 70 points or better to pass! The sheer volume of questions asked on these exams make it necessary to move quickly through each exam. There's no time for "exam stress" or self-doubts. here's where our seminar makes the difference.
Sure, if you had unlimited time you could easily pass these exams. The problem is that same techniques that you use in your everyday work won't get you through these exams. Without our seminar and your computer from work to rely on to do the math, you'll be intimidated by the other examinees at the exam, and you won't have a strategy to take the exam (that’s right, you can actually use strategies to improve your chances of passing).
Having the proper reference texts and study guides and knowing how to use your calculator efficiently to solve the problems on the exam will be extremely important also. Our seminar can point the way for you there too. We actually take you through an intense training program to make sure that you know how to do the work on the exam confidently and quickly.
At this point in the process you’re still in complete control of the exam outcome. You already know that the exam process is expensive in time, money and emotions. In spite of this, for your own reasons (income, prestige, promotions, etc.) you’ve made the decision to take the exam to become licensed. You now have another decision to make: Do you want to pass the exam in October or do you want to take it over and over? The choice is yours.
We can put you in a classroom full of people just like you who are also going to take the exam in October. They’ll bring their study guides and materials to help you learn how to answer questions that you may have about surveying issues that may be on the exam.
Our instructors are taught to improvise and facilitate your learning experience. For instance, at a recent seminar we set up a conference call between the class and a surveyor who had just passed the exam. At another class an ex-Board member came and shared his knowledge with the group. We can’t advertise these events because they happen dynamically; however, we can advertise that we will do everything legally and ethically possible to make sure that you pass the exam.
You'll learn to use your NCEES/Board approved HP 35s calculator loaded with our proprietary LSS Miracle Software that we provide you as part of your tuition fee for the seminar, along with the other books and materials we'll provide.
You’ll receive individual assistance from your instructor and
study groups will be formed at night to tutor you through the problems you don’t understand. You’ll make friends and network with others to increase your confidence that you’re not alone. You’ll be in an environment that will require you to study – no work or family distractions.One of the major advantages of the seminar is that it forces you to take time off to devote to study. Your at-work and after-work life probably now consumes all of your time. If you have a family as well as a boss, you aren’t spending the time necessary to prepare for the exam.
We take all major credit cards. Our only requirement is that your tuition be paid in full before you sit for the seminar.
In this seminar you’ll spend three intense days learning to use your NCEES/Board approved HP 35s calculator efficiently to do the surveying math that you're likely to encounter on the exam as well as taking short exams we call "Windsprints" to build up your reading speed, reading comprehension and confidence. During the entire three days we will share exam-taking tips for you to use on the exams. This seminar is especially recommended for anyone taking any NCEES national exam ("Fundamentals" and/or "Principles and Practice").
SEMINAR FEES
The fee for the three-day "NCEES (LSIT) Exam Review & Exam Prep Seminar" is $795.00. If you attend one of our State Specific Seminars together with this seminar, the fee for attending both seminars is $1,195.00, a $195.00 discount from the combined individual prices of those seminars.
